Harry Potter Day!
All over the world July 21, 2007 was known as Harry Potter Day. Yes, Joey and I (along with my niece, Rachel) joined the millions of geeks around the world and stood in a line for a couple of hours to get our book at midnight. Carrie made it pass a little quicker by texting me the entire time with updates on what was happening at Barnes and Noble in Pueblo, CO. Then finally: It was 12:01! (An hour earlier than in Colorado! Haha, Carrie!)We were so excited, we read the first two chapters that night. We had a busy day Saturday, so we couldn't stay up all night reading. We had Aidan's second birthday party to go to, plus I had a hair appointment that day, so so we didn't get to really start reading until late Saturday. We both finished by Sunday night. And yes... there were a few tears shed. Now we just walk around in a kind of daze wondering what to do next.
